If your fingerprint sensor no longer works after a screen replacement and you see the message:

|“Can’t use fingerprint sensor. Visit a repair provider or g.co/pixel/fingerprintunlock.”

this simply means the device requires re-calibration of the under-display fingerprint scanner.

Here’s how to fix it in minutes:

✅ Step 1: Enter Fastboot Mode

  1. Power off your Pixel 6

  2. Hold down Volume Down + Power until you see the Fastboot screen

  3. Connect the phone to your computer via USB

✅ Step 2: Install USB Drivers (for Windows users)

  1. Download the official USB driver from:
    https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb

  2. Unzip the file to any folder on your computer

  3. Open Device Manager (press Win+X → Device Manager)

  4. Locate your Pixel device → Right-click → Choose Update Driver

  5. Select Browse my computer for drivers → Point to the unzipped folder

  6. The driver should install successfully

✅ Step 3: Use Google’s Calibration Tool

  1. Open this page using Chrome or Edge:
    https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/udfps

  2. Follow the instructions to install the fingerprint repair software

  3. Once completed, manually restart your phone
